I'm Back

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, and for good reason; just after my last post, we found out that I'm pregnant again! I haven't stamped anything in the last month, but I'm feeling better now, so I'll be coming out with some new cards, challenges and techniques!

I've also finally updated my demo website with my Fall Events, so check that out too! Thanks for being patient!

WANTED: Upcoming Class Ideas

Hello! I'm in the process of planning out my fall classes. I have lots of ideas rolling around in my head, but I'd like to have classes that everyone will be interested in (not just myself!). What I need from YOU, are suggestions of things that you'd be interested in...

Stamp-a-stack: Stamp 10-15 cards, all of the same design.

Technique Class: Any techniques you'd like to learn more about??

Christmas Gift: Stamp a 3-D project...candles, boxes, tins, CD holders, cans, etc.

Creativity Challenge Night: Make your OWN card designs, with the "scraps" I set out for you.

If there is anything above, or not mentioned, that sounds fun or interesting, please e-mail me with your ideas!

Color Challenge #2

Alright Show-It-Off Tuesday-ers; this is for you! I challenge you ALL to make a card for the next newsletter that uses these colors:

~Regal Rose
~Pretty in Pink
~Old Olive
~Neutral of your choice

Good Luck!!

Show-It-Off Tuesday #2

Wow! Two weeks goes by fast - I've been so busy, I haven't sat down to stamp since the last email! We'll see what creations of my own I can come up with to put in the email going out...

I'm a little late in posting this. We had some friends over yesterday to play Risk, so I was busy all day cleaning...I know...excuses, excuses. :)

Words say, "precious memories"

These two were made by Betty D.

These two above, were made by my downline, Ashley P. They both use the same "Happy Birthday" stamp from last year's hostess benefits. She made these as examples of how you can use the same stamp, but come up with completely different looks.

New In Colors Challenge
Card Size: 3 1/2" x 5"
Made By: Alaina

Page Size above: 6"x6" brag book

Page Size below: 8 1/2" x 11"

These 2 scrapbook pages use the same element found on the card above. These examples were featured in the Stampin' Up! demonstrator magazine; I copied their ideas making just a couple changes of my own.

These are great examples of how you can take an element from a page or card you like and swap it to the project you're working on!

Color Challenge #1

This is my first color challenge; I hope no one is too shy to participate. These are designed to get your creativity going by giving you a "boost" and to give you a fresh perspective on colors from another creative stamper's mind.

Make a card using the following colors, plus 1 neutral (whisper white, very vanilla, etc):

~Old Olive
~Pumpkin Pie
~Bashful Blue

For those who have the new In Colors, you can try this combination as well:

~Certainly Celery
~Soft Sky
~Purely Pomegranate

Good Luck!

In The Spotlight

This is the third card I've made using this hostess set. The other two aren't finished yet, but I will revise this post once I finish adding my embellishments to them and get them uploaded.

Despite this being a very versatile stamp set, I'm having trouble coming up with good ideas for it. So we'll see how I do later on tonight!!

Garden Silhouettes

This is a hostess set from the new Fall/Winter Collection. We'll be using this set on Friday, the 27th for our monthly Club Meeting.

Double Line Doodles

These are 4 samples we made at Regionals last year using the Double Line Doodles set new to the Fall/Winter '07-'08 Collection.

4"x4" Card

6"x6" Brag Book Page

Faux Metal

You can create the look of metal without the high cost! All you need is a heat tool, versamark and silver/gold embossing powder... Faux Metal allows you to customize your metal pieces to coordinate with your stamp sets. No more unused pieces, or struggling to find a stamp set as the same style.

If you'd like to see how to achieve this great look, email me, to set up a one-on-one app't or a workshop!!

These are two examples from the Faux Metal Technique Class that I hosted.

Time Flies!

I can't believe it's been a month already! I have a pile of cards waiting to be scanned and posted, as soon as our printer decides to cooperate!

I'm also expecting a couple orders of new product to be coming very soon. I'm so excited to sit down and just STAMP STAMP STAMP. I have so many ideas rolling around in my head, I won't be able to keep them straight for long!!

I'll probably be putting up a color challenge...as soon as I make it down to the basement today to start working. Only what colors to choose....???

You Make Me Happy

The You Make Me Happy stamp set from the current Spring Mini Catalog! Very fun to use!

"U make the world special just by being in it"

Faux Stitching Technique Class

These cards were made using either:

1.) Piercing Tool and Black Stampin' Write Marker
OR
2.) Perforation Tool from Cutter Kit and Whisper White Craft Ink

The traditional way, uses a White Signo Gel Pen (which I don't have) instead of the black marker. Both are a bolder look than using the perforating tool and craft ink.

For more information on how to achieve these looks, please e-mail me!

Fantastic Folds Stamp Camp

Here are a couple cards from the Fantastic Folds camp several weeks back. Due to time, I will only post the pictures, and not the "ingredients list" for each card. Please feel free to e-mail if you would like to know the materials used on a card. You can do this by visiting my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website to the right.

Welcome!

Wow - I'm very excited to start my own stamping blog. This will allow me to post more pictures for you to see (larger ones too!) and gives me more freedom on the content of my website!

Look for challenges every so often; concerning stamping or even just everyday life (you remember those shoes you've been meaning to go thru??). I'll post updates on events, as needed, and MOST importantly, I'll be sharing more pictures with you.

So please come back!
