Color Challenge by Mistake

As I was working on my cards for the last color challenge, I happened to notice some ink pads and scraps of paper sitting next to each other and thought, 'Hey, those would look really good on a card!'

So here's our next color challenge already!!

Old Olive
Pink Pirouette
Baja Breeze
Not Quite Navy

I'm really excited about this one, so let's see what you can come up with! And remember, my letter coloring above is only approximate - I can't enter the true RBG for the colors. Hopefully it's just enough to give you an idea of what colors we're using.

If you don't have the current In Colors (08-09) but are still interested in trying this, email me, and I'll give you some alternative colors to use based on what you have available!

4 AM Challenge Examples

My whole family has been hit pretty hard with sickness this week, so I wasn't able to get my cards done as soon as I had hoped. I'm just proud that I even found time to get them done! So here they are:

Sweet Stems Stamp Set

Zoofari Stamp Set

Zoofari Stamp Set
(I had to cheat a little on this one, and use Kiwi Kiss ribbon
because I didn't receive my Old Olive ribbon until late last night!)

4 AM Challenge

So it's 4am and I'm wide awake with my son who has decided he would rather be up playing than sleeping! I was noticing a really cute shirt he had on the other day, and I thought the colors would be perfect for a color challenge. It's been quite some time since I've done any sort of challenge, so what better time to start than now!

Colors:

Old Olive
Pacific Point
Chocolate Chip

Since I haven't made my card yet either, let's say the 'deadline' is Friday. Make your card(s) using these colors and then send me a picture so I can see what you've come up with! I will upload my picture as soon as I get it done (maybe tomorrow?) to be used as an example.

Good luck and I hope you all have fun with this!!

Look-A-Likes

Here are 4 cards that use the same stamp sets, similiar layouts or main elements, colors, and accessories. Just by changing up these key elements can dramatically change the look or feel of your card!

Christmas Fun

I recently sat down to mess around and make some mini christmas cards. I divided an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper into thirds along the long side. The measurements will be 3 11/16", 3 11/16" and 3 9/16". I used the Season of Simple Grace and Scandinavian Season stamp sets.
Some of the cards didn't scan too well - sorry!

These next 3 cards are the traditional 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Christmas Workshop and Giveaway

I'm planning an event the 2nd weekend in December for an evening of stamping and giveaways! We will be making 3 Christmas themed projects, and everyone will go home with free Stampin' Up! products!! For more details please email me, or leave a comment on this post with your contact information (comments are moderated, so no one else will see your personal information).

Fresh Cuts

I made some cards earlier this week using the Fresh Cuts stamp set and the coordinating pre-cut/pre-scored 4x4" cards (and envelopes of course!). They work so well together, it's hard to go wrong!
